Joint show with Lesley Pechter including several collaborative artworks created "in the moment".
Most artistic endeavors are done in solitude, but Chiarina and Lesley have found that working in tandem—sharing a press and work table—has enhanced their creative process. The two artists are currently collaborating on joint pieces that reflects both their individual styles and their common aesthetic. To describe their month-long show at the newly renovated Metchosin Community House, they chose the Japanese term Setsuna, loosely translated as in the moment, to suggest the tone for their exhibition of prints. These works not only reflect their fascination with the idea of finding the eternal in the moment but their joy at being able to lose themselves in the process of creating them..
