Winged Horse Studio
Featuring the art of Chiarina Loggia

School House Studio

The School House Studio

The School House Studio opened it doors June 1, 2008 in the old Metchosin Elementary School, which had been newly converted as an arts and cultural center. Together with three other artists, Chiarina Loggia began using the old kindergarten classroom as her primary working space, setting up her etching press and working tables in her corner of the room.  When moving into the classroom, a miniature tea set for four was found hidden away in one of the cupboards. The four artists took this as a sign that they were meant to be there and it has proven to be a good omen indeed. The studio is a bustle of creative activity that functions as both a working and teaching space and a gallery to showcase the artwork of  the  resident artists.

The studio is open  to the public  by appointment (250-217-8682) or simply drop in when the artists are at work.
